Published by Pradeep on April 30, 2020. SAP S4 HANA Controlling has got many new features in the new S4HANA versions. With Universal Journal and ACDOCA, Controlling has got much-improved functionality. Not only this, Controlling has become more integrated and user-friendly in SAP S4 HANA Finance.

When you need a temporary solution until your inevitable HANA conversion, then there is a second option. You can solve this problem using a second select with a FOR ALL ENTRIES condition. The Universal journal entry eliminates the need for the separation made previously between Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO) (single source of truth). There is a combined FI and CO document linked with a logical document. All the information is recorded in 1 line item table (ACDOCA). Since financial accounting and managerial OSS 2856765 - telling that table BSEG is not filled anymore here - is also very interesting in this context. ACDOCA-BSTAT = 'U' is an interesting one (i.e. "not in BSEG anymore") mentioned in note OSS2297729 - and can be seen in "document status" in the depreciation postings inside this blog. A) Is it BSEG Co-Exist with ACDOCA? Yes. Everywhere in SAP, we could see ACDOCA is the center of discussion for so many items process like a universal journal, single source of truth, etc, In fact, that is true, but at the same time, one should note that ACDOCA is not made from BKPF & BSEG and both tables still exist.
