The -20 will help the oil hit operating viscosity faster in the cold weather, and the -30 is going to have a marginal impact on fuel economy but should provide a slightly better oil
Afternoon to all I have a ti vct focus mk2 and whats the guidelines on oil changes. Think these cars like clean oil regurly because of the ti vct unit. How many miles or how often?. Do they need a engine oil cleaner and how often?. Thank you
At my 1st oil change (1550miles) I went with 5W 50 Castrol Edge Full Synthetic since the oil filler cap says: SAE 5W 50. After checking Ford WSS-M2C937-A, it requires special engine oil for Ford Focus RS. Viscosity should be SAE 0W-40. (A3/B3) Castrol Edge in this weight meets Ford's requirement.
To take the head off basically you gotta do the following: *Drain coolant. *disconnect coolant lines going to thermostat housing. *take off valve cover and cam gear cover. *take off timing belt. *take out cams. **the head bolts are underneath the cams. (*there are 10 bolts holding the head on.)

The garage done the work but they informed me my power steering pump was also leaking. The have greatly reduced the trickle of fluid that was leaking, and it's only a fine mist now.
