From here on out itâs get it on the console you own and if you get a PS5 down the line you have to pay for the upgrade. Now this is for all future Sony exclusives. A fan asked whether or not it would be necessary to upgrade to a PlayStation 4 Pro. Of course, you donât have to upgrade; the game will work more than fine on the regular PS4. However, if you do have a PS4 Pro, youâll be able to play God of War in glorious 4K. That is, if you own a 4K TV. If not, youâll still get more out of God of War. The PS5 disc contains the PS5 version, it'd be like putting a PS2 game into a PS1. Granted they could still let you download the PS4 version if you try and do that, but this is Sony we're talking about.Whats funny is that there are games out there like Elden Ring where the performance at launch was better on the Pro than the ps5. Itâs not like Xbox, you have to download the save from psplus to the console manually. Just look around in the setting I donât remember exactly where but it should be there, thatâs how it worked on ps4 at least. Jeannie13 3 years ago #7.
